Director Krishna Vamsi's 'Anthapuram' was the first for Jagapathi babu who played a cameo that comes onscreen for about a half-an-hour on the screen. For his astounding performance in this role, Jagapathi babu received the AP government’s prestigious Nandi Award.

Imbued by the success he went on to do the films like 'Hanuman Junction', 'Anukokunda Oka Roju', 'Lakshyam' and 'SivaKasi' all of which portrayed him in the same genre of characters sharing the screen space with popular heroes.

In his latest film on RRK Networks banner, Jagapathi Babu continues his saga and is all set to co-star with Kalyan Ram. Said to be produced by Ramakrishna Raju, the movie will be directed by Dhanraj. It is learnt that the title 'Ghanudu' has been confirmed for the film. Sneha Ullal, Sindhu Menon and Rupa Kaur are the triple heroines in this film. The scoop seems to subtly imply that the male crowd can look forward to high octane glittering glamour from the three sizzling beauties.
